Logitech Quickcam Ultra Vision Usb Webcam For Mac
There are 5 Logitech cams that work with the Mac right out of the box without special software. I found this information on the eCcam web site:
Logitech Compatibility Information: The following Logitech QuickCams are currently available in two versions. Only the newer version is Mac-compatible (UVC compliant).
QuickCam for NoteBooks PRO
QuickCam Orbit MP/Sphere
QuickCam PRO 5000
QuickCam Ultra Vision
QuickCam Fusion
The new models are labeled with the 'Works with Windows Vista' logo, and also feature 'RightLight 2' as one of the features.
Goto to this site to learn about software you can buy to make many webcams Mac-compatible:

I bought the Logitech QuickCam for NoteBooks PRO and it works with my PowerBook G4. Tip: turn down the input volume to decrease the chirps on the audio feed.

- Designed specifically for the Mac, QuickCam Vision Pro gives you a crystal-clear video calling experience that a built-in webcam just can't match. Logitech was the first to bring HD-capable webcams to the market.
- The Logitech QuickCam Ultra Vision uses a precision-ground glass lens to bring you crisp still photos, and HD-quality (960 x 720) video. The QuickCam's monitor clip/base allows you to mount the camera on a shelf, on the edge of your notebook monitor, or standing on your desktop.

Quickcam Ultra Vision Webcam
Hi!
I am a new mac pro user and to date I have found installing peripherals to be very easy. Everything I have plugged into my mac has worked perfectly....
...except for my Logitech Pro Cam 4000.
I went to the Logitech website and downloaded the designated
mac os x drivers. I did the installation and rebooted the computer.
Upon plugging in the webcam, nothing happened. I went to iChat
and the camera was not indicated.
I went to the Logitech folder on my hard drive and clicked on the
two icons (quick capture and camera control) but both indicated
that that I needed to activate my camera.
Is there additional software that I need here? I am quite
surprised that the camera wasn't instantly detected by mac.
Also, just to let you know....
I am also using an Eye TV hybrid device in another USB port.
I am stating this as I am unsure if there would be a conflict
between two devices that bring in some sort of TV input.
Thanks in advance for your assistance!
